Most electric fans come with their own shroud.  So you'd remove the stock
IH radiator shroud and bolt the new electric fan right up to the back of
the radiator.  It would also seem to make sense (for best cooling
performance when the vehicle is not moving) to go with a fan that would
cover (and pull air through) as much of the radiator surface as possible.
You could go with one big fan or several smaller ones.
