Re: bunch of stuff

Me too.. I'm a Yank. (Pittsburgh, PA).. but that Rebel flag is just too cool..

Better would be to watch Julie attempt the same.. she complains climbing in
through the door as it is.. can't wait for the earful on Friday when she has
to climb 4" higher.. :-)
OTOH, she refuses to have me carry a step ladder around.. her previous
boyfriend had a rather high '80 F250.. and he (honestly!) carried a small
step ladder with him when they went to Prom (or whatever it was)... I think
she was MORE embarrassed by the use of the ladder than trying to climb up
the side.. :-)

I'm hoping Steve Stegman jumps in with some more details but..
My guess is you want a mid 70s F250 or F150 4wd.. I think they used the Dana
44 front end then, so the brake parts should be alike.
Per Steve's comments before, the calipers are identical save for the
fitting. Thus the brake shoes are the same as well.
Remember you'll need to buy new brake lines when you do the swap, since the
stock Scout II lines have that odd 7/16" fitting vs. the 3/8" on the Ford.
And, of course, send me the results of this experiment so I'll be ready when
I build my '72!
