Re:Scouting in the Panamint Mountains

Harvesters,
I just picked this up from the Land Use Network moderated by my friend
Del Albright who is my Panamint Valley travelling buddy. Could make
things very interesting this spring.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED....THE LAST STORM THIS PAST WEEK
DEVASTATED THE BLM ROAD ACCESS TO DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK.

GOLER WASH IS IMPASSABLE AT THIS TIME. IT IS EASIER TO WINCH INTO
SURPRISE CANYON!

SOUTH [Park] CANYON APPEARS TO HAVE SURVIVED UP TO THE POINT WHERE THE
ROAD EXITS THE LOWER CANYON. TOO MUCH MUD TO CROSS WITH A VEHICLE AT
THIS TIME. UNKNOWN IF BRIDGE INTACT NOR THE
ROAD CROSSING BELOW COLTER SPRING.

PLEASANT CANYON. SEVERAL SEVERE WASHOUTS MAYBE 5 - 10 DAYS OF WORK
PARTIES TO REPAIR AND REBUILD. WHAT WE NEED ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE WILLING
TO HELP BACKFILL DITCHES BY HAND TO KEEP FROM LOOSING THEM IF ANOTHER
STORM HITS. FEEL FREE TO
CONTACT ME AT MY EMAIL ADDRESS. [email protected]

SURPRISE CANYON: ONLY MADE MORE CHALLENGING, UKN UPPER CANYON
CONDITIONS...LET ME KNOW

JAIL CANYON...LOTS OF ROCKS MOVING..

THE ARGUS RANGE IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME. I WILL ADVISE AS SOON A BLM
RANGERS UPDATE ME.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE,

dbrenner
