In Carmel - the Wayfarer Inn $108 one year ago.
In Monterey - Casa Munras Garden Hotel $88 two weeks ago.
Carmel Valley - The Los Laureles Lodge $116 two years ago.
All these rates include AAA, I think.
If you stay in Carmel you can probably walk to the wedding.

As far as an Alfa to drive for the weekend, you can buy Brian 
O'Kelley's '71 Spider and drive down from Berkeley.
