[alfa] Re: Replacing Distributor on '79 Spider
Pete,
Once the cap is down in place correctly, you should be able to squeeze the
clips in the middle with your fingers and pop them right on. If they don't
go, something is probably not lined up right.

Subject: [alfa] Replacing Distributor on '79 Spider
Somebody must have asked this before, but I couldn't find anything in the
digests and it's driving me crazy...is there a trick or special tool needed
to
replace the distributor cap on a 79 Spider? For the life of me, I can't get
enough grip with a pair of long nosed pliers on the rear little spring clip
to
pull it upward and lock it into place. I've removed the air intake, which at
least allows you to see the thing, but I've been at this for hours now and
I've got to be missing something.
Thanks in advance for any help...
Pete
