Re: [alfa] Re: Spider door seal attachment
Chuck,
I have just replaced my door seals and no glue is required. The slot in
the rubber seal "snaps" down over the lip. You have to be a bit patient and
make sure they slide down all the way onto the lip.

Hmmm... Another person who responded off-digest also
said that the seals don't need to be glued---except,
the seals that are currently in my car (or what's left
of them) are glued in. And I know Don Brubaker, who
recommended a glue, just finished refurbishing the
doors on his GTV... Curiouser and curiouser. My Spider
is an 86 if that makes a difference.
The new seals are whatever Centerline sells. I
haven't received them yet, but they were supposed to
ship yesterday so I should see them soon. I'll take
another look at the car, too, to see if there's some
way that the seals could attach without glue.
Thanks to everyone who has responded.
