My biggest worry with a street roll bar in a Spider would be cracking my 
skull on it if I was rear-ended.  Way back in the mid-'70's I was 
rear-ended in a Gremlin (a purple one, no less), and I swear that my neck 
hyper-extended so far that I was able to see out the shattered rear 
window.  I pulled the roll bar out of my '74 Spider for just that 
reason.  I'm also pursuing a medical education, and during several thousand 
hours spent in a very busy ER, I've seen enough head injuries to know that 
I don't want one.  I'm willing to bet that the Spider stays right side up 
more often than not, and even if it doesn't, I'm not pinned to the seat by 
4-point belts.
