Re: [alfa] water water everywhere

Last week I cleverly left a rear window open in the Milano... It was
on the side of the car facing away from the house, and I did not
notice it until the remants of Frances came through and dropped a
record amount of rain on us. I was not happy when I happened to see
the other side of the car.

That record rainfall lasted until yesterday when the remants of Ivan
plowed through Pittsburgh dropping 8" on the downtown. I smartly
ducked out of work extremely early and got the spider and myself
(albeit a bit damp) home before the worst hit. Just about every
major roadway was compromised in some way (landslides, flooding,
mult-car accidents.)

Having lost all my Tonka toys & sandbox in the Johnstown flood of '77,
I wisely purchased my new house far from any streams, or flood plains.
We did get some water in the basement... the first that's happened
in 6 years, but otherwise no problems here. This time my Alfas were
safely high and dry.
