[alfa] V6 Starters and Brakes

Two quick things:

1) I found a guy at www.hitorque.com who says that he can make me a Denso
starter for the V6 that weighs around 9 lbs and costs $150.  He says that
it will take about 2 days.  Interestingly, I gave him the Bosch part
number for the starter, and he pulled the complete dimensions for it up
almost instantly.  I am going to try one out and will report back about
it.

2) I agree with Biba that many of the rules governing "competition" can
eclipse safety issues. Although I feel that brakes should be somewhat
unrestricted, having the "best" brakes would definitely make me
faster-and would alter the competitiveness of the car.  When I feel that
I am exceeding the capacity of my brakes, I ease up until they cool off. 
That, in some ways, "is racing."
