You'll have to completely remove the heater (and A/C too) just to 
replace the fan. You don't want to start down that road! The discomfort 
and trouble you'll experience will be many times greater than the 
inconvenience of not having the fan. If the A/C still works, you can 
always use that to demist the windows when it rains. In winter, the 
heater puts out more than enough heat without the fan as long as the 
vehicle is moving. Take my advice - forget the fan. Thats what I'm doing 
now!
