Re: [alfa] A/C interference with heater fan access?

I am about halfway through the thing, and have multiple times had this
thought echo (echo echo ehco ...) through my head. Seems like a stupid
thing to mess with.

But I hate non-working things, and I have had the unpleasant experience of
having my windshield fog up at long lights here in Va, especially on the
short trip home in winter before the engine really warms up (which happens
about at my driveway). I have made an observation here. It _appears_
that the heater box can be removed by pulling it leftward (toward the
driver in the US) to go around the otherwise obstructive A/C box. The
left side vent portion of the A/C box is removable, so the box won't
protrude beyond the center console after it is removed. The brake/clutch
pedals _might_ be a problem, but they can be dealt with much more readily
than the A/C box by someone who has recently replaced a clutch pivot shaft
and then had to do it again because a plugged clutch flex hose caused the
new shaft to shear off _just_ like the old one (seek root causes for
broken hardware).

Any comments on pulling the heater box toward the left? Does the hose
combination allow this? Will a quantum black hole suddenly appear to
swallow me up so I _can't_ do this forbidden thing? I'm getting ready to
try it (drained the coolant just before checking my email) and I'd really
like to know of I'm being stupid. At least I'd like to know just _how_
stupid I'm being. But maybe it'll work?
