Anthony is right about this. In the Jaguar range the DHC body type was 
intended for varied climates and the interior fittings of these cars 
reflected the civilised closed coupe models with veneered dashes and 
door caps, heaters, carpets etc. anticipating that the roof would be 
dropped only for sunny days. My impression is the roadster models were 
designed to appeal to drivers in the warmer, dryer West Coast market. 
Consequently, we tend to see a higher ratio of coupes and DHCs in 
Britain and NZ and more roadsters in the US.
