George, I believe you are referring to the GTZ, or Giulia Tubolare Zagato, so named cuz of it's tube frame. "Touring" was one of Zagato's fellow Italian coach builders, as you may recall. No collaboration on that or any other model I know of...

the GTV by Bertone is subtle, Biba....one must approach it low to see just how all of it's curves and moves come together. It is far, far more the masterpiece than the Alfetta/GTV6, a nice design of it's era but nowhere near the timelessness of it's predecessor. And if you think the Giulietta front is busy, you better go back and look at some of the garish tripe being done elsewhere in Europe at the time, not to mentioned the tortured krap being palmed off in America.

and Richard Bies, you are referring to the "Italian" Studey, aren't you?? I forget the model, but it was a beauty of a design and oh,so Italian in concept....
I just looked it up -- 53/54 Starliner coupes and Starlight sedans. The side grills are extremely reminiscent of Alfa's side grills of the era. Very daring stuff for that time; never would have been done in Dearborn or Detroit.

Is that the red coupe that looks like an XKE that somebody squashed
between two other cars in a chain accident? If so, that's the Disco
Volante Coupe, and I agree that it's butt ugly. OTOH, if you're talking
about the red Kamm-back coupe with the green nose, its a Touring
Zagato or TZ. Far from looking stupid to most Alfisti, they are among
the most valuable of all Giulietta/Guilia based Alfas. Only the even
rarer TZ2 is worth more money. De Cadinet  was so fond of the TZ that
soon after the "Victory by Design" shoot, he bought himself one.

I do agree that the Giugiaru designed, Bertone-built  Giulia
GT/GT-Veloce/GTA  built from 1965 - 1975 is the most beautiful Alfa
Coupe of all. With the original "step-nose" design being the best of
all.
