Perhaps the time has come to have an alternate location for the event.
I'm thinking of a place right off the freeway, solid asphalt where you
won't sink in; in Southern California where, betcha, most of the cars
come from anyway; and best of all, free parking and free entrance and
free food and beverages (providing you bring them).
True, it will need to be held on a Sunday, but this way you won't have
to let your boss know you're going to be sick on a particular Thursday
and Friday (cough, cough).
Only requirement to be able to park on the black is it has to be Italian
and have a motor / engine or really nice curves and you're willing to
share.
Just a thought.
Yeah I know, I go to the French / Italian Car Meet in November also but
I'm thinking August.
